Possibly the most popular jewelry brand of the 1950s – 1960s, Coro jewelry was founded in New York by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger in 1901/1902. The corporate name “Coro” was adopted in 1943. Coro Jewelry is most noted for its collections from the 1930s to the 1950s featuring brooches, double-clip brooches, necklaces, and bracelets. Its great success was due to the quality of their designs, the affordability of the pieces and the appeal to a wide range of consumers. They stopped producing jewelry in 1979.
