What is so special about Olive Soap is that it is made with all-natural olive oil. No chemicals in this artisan soap, unlike an average supermarket soap. In fact, this Marseille soap contains 72% olive oil. Olive soap is known for its purity and gentle skin care. A good idea for a typical French Gift.

Why is this olive soap made in Marseilles? Making soap requires a source of fat and olive oil is considered one of the purest sources. The city of Marseilles, located at the heart of Provence, is surrounded by fields of olive trees, typical from the Mediterranean coast. Olive oil is an abundant resource in the region, so it was only natural that local soap artisans and factories would use olive oil to produce their wonderful soaps.
