Vintage Crown Trifari Sterling Silver Crown Brooch, 1945 Alfred Philippe, Signed Designer Pin
This magnificent Vintage Trifari Crown Brooch is a 1945 Alfred Philippe design — one of the most recognizable and coveted Trifari pieces of the wartime era. Crafted in sterling silver, it features a regal crown motif set with AAA natural pearls added during professional restoration, emerald rhinestones, and alternating ruby and Montana blue square rhinestones along the band. The brooch is marked Trifari (crown mark) Sterling Pat. Pend 140779 on the reverse; the patent was granted April 10, 1945. (see picture)
Originally gilded or partly gilded, the piece has been professionally restored to preserve its brilliance and structural integrity. Four Montana blue stones and one clear rhinestone were replaced with vintage stones; all emeralds remain original. The AAA natural pearls were selected to replicate the original Philippe‑era dome height and luster, ensuring historical accuracy and visual harmony. The result is a brooch that reads as museum‑grade — luminous, balanced, and historically resonant.
Very good restored vintage condition. Minor age patina consistent with sterling; restoration invisible in wear.
