Vintage Venetian Murano Glass White Floral Wedding Cake Bead Long Necklace

This magnificent vintage Venetian Murano glass necklace captures the artistry and romance of mid‑century Italian design. Handcrafted in the 1950s, possibly earlier, it features luminous white Fiorato “wedding cake” beads adorned with raised pink roses, gold swirls, and delicate dots, paired with copper foil swirl cylinder beads and smaller white and bronze rounds. Each bead is individually hand‑knotted on brown silk cord, finished with a gold‑tone clasp etched in a geometric pattern.

The lamp‑work technique used to create these beads is among the most time‑intensive methods of glassmaking. Each bead is formed by hand over a flame, layering molten Murano glass with copper foil and colored overlays to achieve its intricate texture and shimmer.
